As they drift off to shade a lazy dog or give mountains a sense of scale, a beam of light pushes gently through their ranks, coming to rest on a window sill. After kicking off its boots from the morning stroll (a comfortable 93 million miles), the light peeks through a drawn pair of curtains, draws a steady breath and starts to hum.
Nobody really knows what the melody is, but all are sure theyve heard it somewhere before. All we really know is that its in F major.
Starting softly, the hum gradually rises in volume, becoming more vibrant with each second that passes and each bird that joins in harmony. Through the window, behind the curtain and in the depths of a quilted cavern, something stirs to the music
I fell out of bed this morning. It was rubbish.
But then I got my final mark for University and did some weird calculations. I think they make sense:
Year 2's final mark counts for 25%
Year 3's final mark counts for 75%
Y2=67 - (67/100)x25= 16.75
Y3=74 - (74/100)x75= 55.75
-------------------------------------
= 72.50
Thats a First. I think I just passed University with a First.
What began as timidly stepping into a student halls flat and learning to live on my own has spiralled up and down through a three year void to this moment. This miraculously odd moment where everything was totally worth it.
Ill reflect on my entire time at University, as well as giving you an up-to-date on my life, some other time. But for now Wow. :)
Hope youre absolutely smashing, you artsy-fartsy Lords and Ladies!
